introduction

Sami Yehia is a staff research engineer at Thales Research and Technology (TRT), Embedded Systems Labs. He is member of the HiPEAC network and member of its industrial advisory board. He is also an ACM member.

Sami obtained his PhD from Paris XI University in 2004, and worked at ARM ltd. (Cambridge) before he join Thales.

  • Research Interests

    • Computer achitectures, compilers and embedded systems, more specifically:

      • Architecture Specialization and Instruction set customization, especially transparent customization.
      • Multicore architectures and heterogeneous parallel systems.
      • Parallel programming models.
      • Architecture for safety-critical systems
      • SIMD architectures.

    • Recent Research Activities:

      • 11th IEEE Symposium on Application Specific Processors (SASP 11) TPC chair.
      • Design Automation and Test in Europe (DATE 2011) (SASP 11) PC Track chair (D9 Architectural and Microarchitectural Design).
      • 6th International Conference on High-Performance and Embedded Architectures and Compilers (HiPEAC'11) TPC member.
